This project is the largest petrochemical base in China and the first to reach an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of ethylene. At the same time, this project has also created new records such as the shortest construction period, the highest localization rate, and the lowest investment cost. After the transformation, Maoming Petrochemical Ethylene Plant can provide more than 200 chemical products to the market every year. Its production scale, process level, and management level have reached the leading level in China. This project started in December 2004 and was put into production in September 2006, which took only 21 months.
